Did you know here in Guernsey, each child aged 3 to 4 years is entitled to 15 hours per week of FREE Pre-school Education.
This is aimed at educating children the year before they start school in Reception. The 15 hours of FREE pre-school education per week is across 38 weeks of the year (term time only).
You can choose to take this Free pre-school education at registered providers including Pre-schools and Day Nurseries.
The basic offer is three hours a day over five days or five hours a day over three days, but many Providers may allow you to take your hours flexibly in a pattern to meet your needs where possible.
The threshold to qualify for the 15 hours of Free Pre-school Education for your 3 to 4 year-old child is a joint parental annual income of £150,000. Any family or household with an income over this limit will not be able to claim the free pre-school entitlement.

How to claim your Free 15 hours of childcare
You must let the Pre-school/Day Nursery Provider know that you would like to claim the 15 hours of Free Pre-school Education and how many hours you would like to claim each week.
Your chosen Provider will ask you to complete and return a Parent Declaration Form. Parent Declaration Forms are available from your Provider or you can access them on the States of Guernsey website.
Your Provider will claim the funding on your behalf from The States of Guernsey for the Free Pre-school Education provision you receive.
